Our Team
DampSense was founded by Dr Gulala Aziz and Dr Adam Hardy - university researchers with extensive experience studying homes. They recognised the problems that damp and mould are causing the housing sector, and envisaged a new way that AI could help.
By utilising data that already exists for home, they were able to rapidly assess homes risk of damp without the need for expensive sensors or software.
They were the first to prove that such AI is effective in the prediction of damp and mould, with their paper published in Nature Scientific Reports. They launched DampSense to bring this innovation to the real world — helping to improve homes, and lives, quickly and at scale.
